Pump it Up!

Anyone take her toddler to the park and stand behind her while she's in the swing and imagine hours passing while she pushes? (Raises hand. Me, me!)

BigM looooves to swing. Loves it. Could completely forgo the slide or the wide open space to run or the climbing wall. Yes, she'd trade it all for swinging. Her love affair began when she was a teeny bitty baby, when Pop put the Little Tykes swing on the Old Oak tree in front of his house. I am confident that some of her favorite memories of her Pop will be swinging in their front yard. Anytime we visit the in-laws, no matter what time it is or if it is even light outside, the first thing out of her mouth when we pull in the driveway: "Is Pop dere? Tan he sweeng me?"

One of the biggest selling points of our new house is the park across the street (not the walk-in shower or the granite countertops or the massive front porch, although those things are an awesome bonus.) We hit the park at least once a day. This morning, BigM popped herself up in the swing- a first! and started pumping her legs. She was swinging all by herself!

It was so cute to watch- and I am so excited for her because she was so excited. Although I'm a little concerned that the muscle tone in my arms is going to suffer a little bit since I won't be pushing her anymore.

But I'm sure I'll be pushing LM soon, she likes to swing just as much as her older sister. Wonder who I need to talk to about getting her a bucket swing at the park...
