Roomies

It's offical. The mice are sharing a room. I've known this day* was coming for a long time, but I didn't think it would be this soon. For the past three weeks she's been crawling into the extra twin bed in BigM's room and saying, "Goway, Daddy, goway, Mama, tun ow light."
We told her after her birthday, she could move into her new room. I had planned on waiting until we needed the crib for Bebe #3 (we're not currently expecting #3, so don't get all excited). So Sunday we made the big switch, and needless to say, it hasn't gone well.

At 11pm on the first night, I was still in their room- and we were *all* whining and crying. I found them more than once playing dress-up and reading in the closet.

The following night didn't prove much better, but I left them in seperate beds, giggling and talking to each other, which I want them to do. To an extent. It got pretty quiet after about 10 minutes, so I tip-toed up to check on them. Two empty beds. Guess who was playing dress-up in the closet? We repeated this scenario a few times before BigM finally fell asleep. I left LM crying in her bed, but she used to do that in her crib for about 30 seconds before she settled down. I stood at the top of the stairs where I could see her, but she couldn't see me... and she stood up, jumped on her bed for a minute then sat back down, threw her arms over the rail and excitedly said, "BiiiigMooooouse... wanna go cwoset?" Her request was met with a loud snore, so she tried again. "BIIIIGMMMMOOOOUSE... wann go cwoset?" Nothing. After a third request, she finally decided to lie down and go to sleep.

I'd love to be able to report that things have gone more smoothly since then, but I'd be lying. We're all getting a lot less sleep around here, but the novelty has to wear off at some point. I hope.
*This "day" was actually June 29th, but I've been so tired it's taken me almost a week to get this post written, edited and pictured... so while the date may be correct, it actually finally posted on July 3rd.

I hate to burst you bubble. The girls have been sharing a room since Oct. I still have to sit by their door until they fall asleep to make sure they don't get in the same bed- because, like yours if they do they are up playing all night.

Welcome to the club. :D
