I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas

Okay, that's a total lie. I actually don't like snow, at all. That's one major reason I love living down South. Supposedly it hasn't snowed on Christmas since the 1800s. And since I was asleep pretty early last night, I have no idea if it actually snowed on Christmas Day. (I could probably look that up on the internet, but seeing as I don't like snow, I don't care enough to do so.)

DM and I got up pretty early to work out (we're not waiting until New Year's, let's get this party started) and saw there was a teensy bit of snow on the ground. LM woke up a bit early, so I put her in our bed and we all snuggled and went back to sleep for a few hours. When we woke again at 9, the whole neighborhood was blanketed by snow. I'll even admit it was beautiful.
We woke BigM up and watched the flurries for awhile- we convinced her we needed to wait until it stopped snowing and finally suited up to head out. BigM loved playing in the snow...
LM, not as much.

But she finally came around.
Seeing as we live in the deep South, there was only enough snow to make a 7" tall snowman.
97% of the snow had melted by mid afternoon. I should mention it was 66 degrees on Tuesday and I wished I was wearing shortsleeves. I remember one time in college when it was snowing when I left for my 7:50am class and that afternoon, I wore shorts to my 3:30pm class.

This state is so weird, but what's important is my kids have played in the snow more in their short little lives than I have in mine. And for the most part, they've loved every minute.
