Save it for Later

Okay, so I'm kind of a savings guru. My average grocery bill is about $50 or less a week and I usually save about 60% with coupons and sale items. I've even taught a simple class to some friends on how to "coupon." Being on a "dental school budget" (and yes, we still are and probably will be until we pay off all of our student loans... we'll finally be debt free about 3-4 years before DM is ready to retire) forced me to learn how we could scrimp and save and I'm pretty awesome at it.

I get all my ideas from a few different websites (my favorite is www.southernsavers.com) and I have recently started checking www.hip2save.com more regularly (like this morning when instead of cleaning, I found a sweet deal on some shoes for the girls at www.6pm.com)

Aren't these adorable?

They're called Polliwalks and they kind of look like Crocs, yes? know, I know, Crocs are probably the ugliest type of footwear on earth. I resisted buying some until last year when I finally broke down and bought some of the Mary Jane ones (as if that makes them any less ugly.) But these are pretty cute and let's face it, when you are running out the door in the summer, typing laces is just one of those chores we can't be bothered with, right?

Anyway, 6pm.com is selling these bad boys (and lots of other dadorable styles, but I had to pick some that fit the stringent stipulations BigM puts on her footwear these days: 1. They have to be pink. That's it. I like to make things simple so I got them matching pairs, which will complement nicely all the matching clothes Lolli and Sassy will probably get them) for $6.95. That's a 76% savings. And shipping is a flat $6.95, so of course I not only got the girls some shoes but mama scored a sweet pair of boots too! All 3 pairs for $56 with shipping, normally cost $157.

Happy Shopping! (I have no idea how long this deal will last so you better hurry!) Mine are going in the Easter baskets.

(And none of these websites are giving me any kickbacks for mentioning them, although that would be nice if they did. I just really wanted to brag about my killer deal and share the savings love with y'all. Feel free to comment on my awesome-ness.)
